Other than in a single designed area, there is no longer a requirement to wear face coverings when in the building.  Also, social distancing will not be required, but will be at individual discretion.  In the area allocated for those wishing to wear face coverings all the time, there will be social distancing of one chair between households.  This provision will continue for the time being and will be reviewed on a monthly basis.  Doors at the front and rear of the building will continue to remain open during services to allow for good ventilation and we ask that anyone with a positive Covid test or Covid symptoms should not attend services.

We are also continuing to gather online, our Sunday services are broadcast at 10.30am on our YouTube channel.  The video will be available here on our website soon afterwards.

If you need to contact the church office during office hours, please ring 01609 775396 or 07502 670731.

Base Camp Devotional: Breathe – 24th March 2020
When life is simple and things are good we can cruise along and it’s easy to forget God, living ‘in our own strength’. Our ‘comfortableness’ can be a blockage to letting God into our daily lives – because our daily lives are ‘fine’ without Him most of the time.

Read Romans 5:3-5 (or let me read it to you on the video)
3 “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”

A quote from Bear Grylls ‘Sometimes it isn’t until we get knocked down that we find which way is up. Sometimes it isn’t until the sky clouds over that we notice the light. And sometimes it isn’t until we lie in the gutter that we begin to see the stars. The light of God has been the greatest source of hope this world has ever known. We can never be so far away that the light won’t reach us. Sometimes it is good to be reminded of that. HOPE WILL ALWAYS WIN and the light of Christ reaches everywhere.’

Take a few minutes now in quiet to breathe in God’s hope. Ask Him to come close, bring you His joy and also ask Him to build your endurance and character in this tough time – and enjoy a harvest of hope
